Board President John Becker to Celebrate ALCP 50th Anniversary in Tanzania
This year marks 50 years since the founding of the Apostolic Life Community of Priests. The community kicked off their Golden Jubilee year with a celebration in Tanzania led by the retired Most Reverend Bishop Ludovick Joseph Minde, ALCP/OSS. This celebration took place on November 21st, 2023 and the year will conclude with another celebration on November 21st, 2024 in Tanzania, which, God-willing, Board President John Becker will attend during his planned month-long trip to the country. While there he will be able to witness many of the good works Worldwide Seminarian Support has been able to assist the ALCP in completing over the years. Please pray for his safe travels and the ALCP during their Golden Jubilee, that they may continue to bless the world with their many vocations and be the warriors for Christ this world needs so badly. Ave Christus Rex!
With a special focus on Missionary orders and poor Dioceses around the world, you can help hundreds of seminarians on their way to the priesthood!
Our son Robert has been accepted into the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter, entering Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary* in Denton Nebraska, in September. Over the next seven years he will be educated and formed to be a Priest serving the Catholic Church, celebrating the holy sacrifice of the Mass in the traditional Latin rite. Rob couldn’t be more thrilled, and we couldn’t be more proud.
After a visit to the Grotto Chapel many years ago, Rob’s Grandfather said “yes” to a request from Our Lady of Sorrows. It changed the course of the Becker family—and paved the way for Rob’s path to the Priesthood.
From the time Rob was baptized in 1992 by Fr. Nick Nilema of the Apostolic Life Community, we have worked with other faithful Catholics to help educate seminarians through Worldwide Seminarian Support. We know, and many of you know as well, the blessings that come from financially supporting a seminarian to the Priesthood.
Benefactors are forever in the prayers of the Priest they have supported.
John and I invite you to share in the precious and challenging journey ahead for Robert. The tuition for Seminary is $7,000 this year, which allows for fourteen individuals/families to each cover a $500 portion of the tuition. By making your donation through www.seminariansupport.org, it is tax deductible. You need only designate it for FSSP Seminarian Robert Becker.
Will you join us on this great adventure? Please include your prayer requests for Rob to take with him to Seminary. Thank you, may God bless you and yours always and in all ways!
Patty and John Becker
